Seasonal Fireland Deployment Opportunities

DFPD is in process of exploring the addition of seasonal employment opportunities for fireland deployment requests from other agencies.  Firefighters must be available to take deployment assignments from April - November each year.  Please note that deployments are likely to be assigned in other jurisdictions, including other states.  Our deployment teams have been assigned to a variety of other areas that have included Arizona, California, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, South Dakota, Texas, Wyoming, and of course some in our beautiful state of Colorado!  Any jurisdiction, including those back east, is on the table for discussion and consideration for a fire deployment assignment.

In lieu of active deployment opportunities, firefighters will be assigned by our Fire Chief to mitigation projects while awating deployment opportunities.
